Welcome to the home of erosion training, http://www.erosiontraining.com/ and the NPDES Training Institute, a Division of GeoLOGIC Environmental Solutions, Inc. Erosion and Sediment Control training and consulting is what we do. We work hard at providing clear and understandable NPDES training that unravels the often complicated local, state and federal requirements that are designed to keep our limited surface water resources protected. We are rapidly growing with focus in the southeast and rocky mountain regions of the United States.

In Georgia, did you know that as a land developer or General Contractor you are most likely required to work under TWO Permits if your land disturbance is greater than 1 acre? Sediment is our nations NUMBER ONE non-point source pollutant! That means that you as a land developer are working under the requirements of the federal NPDES requirements of Clean Water Act as dictated by the Georgia Erosion and Sedimentation Act. Erosion training is critical component of any state erosion certification program.
This is how it works...
You apply for a local municipal permit called a Land Disturbance Permit. Statistics indicate at this stage, that most small land developers are not aware that their design professional should also apply for the other required permit called the NPDES General Permit. This application is called the Notice of Intent (NOI). The NPDES General Permit is a federal permit approved by the USEPA which is written and enforced by the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD). Signup for one of our courses for recent updates regarding the ongoing changes in the NPDES enforcement program.

GeoLOGIC is now A PROUD DISTRIBUTOR of APS, Inc. soil stabilization and water purification polymers! Applied Polymer Systems is the only company in the world that manufactures these specific types of erosion control and water clarification products. Also, APS products are tested by universities, water management districts and Department of Transportation groups who have proven them to work, and also be safe for the environment.
Silt Stop emulsion or powder products and Floc Log gel blocks are specifically tailored for your soil type and water chemistry. These products help alleviate erosion while encouraging the growth of vegetation. You simply call GeoLOGIC and we will either provide the sampling for you or assist you to perform your own sampling and sample shipment to the APS Laboratory for a no-cost sample analysis. A polymer based on your specific soil type will be developed for your site.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide the best, most informative and practical NPDES Stormwater education and training services in the Unites States. Our erosion and sediment control training (NPDES Training Institute) and stormwater consulting services (GeoLOGIC Environmental Solutions) provides the critical common sense link between science and the construction industry. This is needed to shape and restructure our understanding of the environmental impact we see from areas of our nation (ie Metro Atlanta) where giant leeps in population in recent years have dramatically impacted the quality of our limited surface water resources. At GeoLOGIC, we recommend that people everywhere spend time on the water, in the water, over the water or around the water, so that together we can collectivelly protect the gold mine we have in our nations most valuable resource, clean surface water!
